About Marcus
Blackwell JR.
Marcus Blackwell Jr. is the CEO and Founder of Make Music Count, a math curriculum and app taught through playing the piano. He received a B.S in Mathematics from Morehouse college and has played professional gospel piano since the age of 16. Marcus dedicates his energy to developing creative methods that allow students to reach their full educational potential. His company is designed to creatively connect the mathematical dots to support the traditional methods of teaching that occur during the school day. Marcus believes that the key to truly reaching students is through creating creative methods that speak to everyone’s experience.
