I am a Morehouse College graduate (2009), with a BA in Business Management & Leadership Studies. After college, I spent time working with K-12 aged youth, creating programming as Director of a faith-based nonprofit. I was accepted into KIPP NYC Schools' Teacher in Residence program in 2020. As a resident, I pioneered and wrote curriculum for an Ethnic Studies course at KIPP Freedom Elementary School, teaching Kindergarten - 4th grade students about identity formation, Black & Latinx history, and community advancement. In 2022, I completed a Dual Masters' degree program at the Relay Graduate School of Education, where I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching & a Master of Science in Special Education. I have also taught English, Social Studies, and Math for Success Academy Charter Schools & the NYC Montessori Charter School.
